Smart-Retract Utility Knife

Description

Ergonomic safety knife with automatic Ergo-Pull spring mechanism, equipped with a 23 mm long ceramic blade. When you have finished cutting, the blade retracts into the handle even if your finger remains on the slide. Its handle is lightweight and very strong- this is due to the glass fibre reinforced nylon from which it is made. The knife is supplied with a durable ceramic blade No. 10526 with a rounded tip. The ceramic blade has a “finger friendly” grind which means it is even more finger safe when in use. It is suitable for left and right handed use and has a built-in eyelet for a lanyard.
Ergonomics in the Smart-Retract knife:
Experts from the American Ergonomics Institute thoroughly tested the slider and Ergo-Pull technology. And what did they find? Most available hand knives require you to move the slider forward and pull the knife back to start cutting. Meanwhile, the Ergo-Pull technology allows the slider to work in the direction of the cut – you simply pull the slider back, in the direction of the cut, to start cutting.
The result is that this operation requires less effort from the forearm and hand muscles compared to a standard hand knife where the slider pushes forward.
